About the role
The Membership Assistant is the first point of contact for all visitors at The Mills Fabrica, providing a warm welcome while supporting daily operations and assisting with the delivery of events. This role reports to the Membership Manager. The role will start 6 July.

Duties

What you’ll be doing:
  • Ensuring every guest that walks through the doors feels welcome and is greeted upon arrival.
  • Handling impromptu visits from partners and potential collaborators, pointing into the right direction based on the needs of their visit.
  • As the first point of contact, be able to represent The Mills Fabrica business to all guests.
  • Liaising with all office and hot desk tenants, ensuring their welfare and that they receive the best support.
  • Support the wider team with delivery of events, setup, and on-the-day coordination, with flexibility to assist outside of specified working hours when necessary.
  • Supporting memberships team with the daily operations of the entire coworking space.
  • Providing administrative support to the memberships.
  • Help support the Admin Assistant with organisation of internal team activities and socials.
  • Maintain shared spaces by refilling pantry items and supporting general housekeeping standards.
  • Act as the eyes and ears of the space by spotting and reporting faults or maintenance issues to the Facilities team.
This role requires some physical duties, including setting up and resetting furniture for events, moving light equipment, and replenishing pantry supplies; we are committed to making reasonable adjustments and providing appropriate support where required to ensure these tasks can be carried out safely and comfortably.

Essential criteria  What we are looking for:

  • Demonstratable skills and experience that correspond to the job specifications.
  • Preferred previous experience in an office management role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Has a positive attitude, ability to problem-solve and strong organisational skills.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Ability to build rapport with visitors, partners and members.
  • Passionate about emerging innovative knowledge within the textiles/fashion and agri-food industry.
  • Previous experience in Coworking spaces desirable but not essential.
