The FollowMe Print service is now available at WM College for students.
This means :
- When you send your file to print, you can go to any printer and tap your ID to collect your prints.
- All computers in the Library, computer rooms and Open Learning Centre are automatically connected to the print queue
All printers offer:
- Mono or Colour
- A4 and A3 (Please check the poster beside the printer)
- Double-sided (default) and single-sided
- Scanning to email
- Scanning to OneDrive
- OCR scanning
Paying for Printing and Photocopying
Students can pay using the PaperCut portal, for more information please check the resources below.
The amount you are charged depends on the type of document you print or photocopy. Scanning is free.
A4
Black and white single-sided: 5p

Colour double-sided: 50p
A3

FollowMe Printing Guide

Before you can log into the printers, you will first need to register your ID Card.
To do this you will need to:
- Tap your ID card on the ID Card scanner
- You will be prompted you enter your WM College email and password, this is the same login details as the computer.
- Once you have entered your details you have successfully registered your ID Card
Please Note: You will only be asked once to register your ID card, once registered you can tap to login.

We recommend setting up your ID to log into the printer but in case you have lost or forgotten your ID card, you will still be able to release your prints by entering your unique Printing PIN.
If you haven’t received a Printing PIN via email, you can find it by:
- Open Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
- On the top left, select the bookmark folder called ‘WM College Links’
- Select ‘PaperCut’
- Your login details would be your WM College email and password, this is the same as your computer details
- Once you have logged in, click [Show] to view your PIN
Please do not share your printing pin, each user has a unique pin and it is linked to their own accounts.

To print or photocopy you will require Print Credit. To top-up you will need to:
- Open Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
- On the top left, select the bookmark folder called ‘WM College Links’
- Select ‘PaperCut’
- Your login details would be your WM College email and password, this is the same as your computer details
- Your current balance will be displayed in the summary tab
- To top-up, select ‘Add Credit’ on the left side
- Select the amount you would like to top-up and select ‘Add Value’
- Select the payment method you would like and enter your payment details
- Select ‘Make Payment’

If you have finished your course and no longer require your printing credit, please visit the library to request a refund of your printing balance. Refunds will be paid in cash.
Credit refunds can only be approved to print jobs that have failed due to the printer jamming or running out of toner.
Refunds cannot be approved for misprints, you must check the settings before printing to ensure the correct number of pages, colour settings, and paper size are selected.
If a job has failed, you can request a refund by:
- Open Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
- On the top left, select the bookmark folder called ‘WM College Links’
- Select ‘PaperCut’
- Your login details would be your WM College email and password, this is the same as your computer details
- Select ‘Recent Print Jobs’ on the left side
- Locate the print job that has failed and select ‘Request Refund
- Select if you would like a full refund and please explain what has happened
- Select ‘Send’
Your credit refund has been sent, once approved you will receive an email from our admins.

Once you have registered your ID card and topped up your account with some Print Credit, you are now ready to use the printers.
Printing can vary depending on the software you are using.
In most Microsoft programs (Word, PowerPoint etc.) you should look for the ‘File’ menu, and then click ‘Print’.
For online content such as PDfs you may need to open the content first, and then look for a printer button. Remember that not all online content can be printed.
Tip: If you get stuck, try the keyboard shortcut Control (Ctrl) + P on a Windows laptop/desktop PC (or Command + P on a MacBook/Mac) which will also open the Print menu.
- Once you have the print menu open
- Please ensure you have selected the correct printer, if you require colour, select FollowMe_Colour and if you require black and white, select FollowMe_Mono
- Once you have selected the printer, please check the print settings to ensure you have the correct settings. For example, colour, double sided or single sided, staples, and more
- Once you have checked the settings and printer, select Print.

Once you have printed your files from the computer, you print will be stored for 24 hours ready for you to collect at any printer. To release your job, please ensure you have enough credit.
- Find a FollowMe Printer
- Tap your ID Card or enter your Printing PIN
- Select ‘Print Release’
- Select the file you would like to print
- Select ‘Print’ to release your print

Photocopying is available on all FollowMe Printers.
To start photocopying you will need to:
- Find a FollowMe Printer
- Tap your ID Card or enter your Printing PIN
- Select Device Functions’
- Place the document on the top scanner or lift the top and place the document on the glass scanner:
- For basic copying double-sided copying, select ‘Start’
- For more advanced copying such as stapling, colour, single-sided, layouts, etc. Please check the settings on the left side then select ‘Start’

Scanning is free and available on all FollowMe Printers, it also supports OCR scanning.
To start scanning you will need to:
- Find a FollowMe Printer
- Tap your ID Card or enter your Printing PIN
- Select ‘Scan’
- Then select if you would like to ‘Scan to OneDrive’ or ‘Scan to Email’
- Place the document on the top scanner or lift the top and place the document on the glass scanner
- Then select ‘Start’
Scan To Email:
Your document will be sent to your WM College email; this can be accessed by visiting Office.com and selecting Outlook. Once you have opened Outlook, you will receive an email from PrinterMail
Scan To OneDrive:
If you have scanned to OneDrive, your document will be accessible through Office.com and selecting OneDrive. Once you have opened OneDrive, select the ‘Apps’ folder where you will find your scans.

Accessible printers can be located outside the Learning Centre and on the 5th Floor
If you require further support or assistance with the printer, please visit the Library or Learning Centre.
Please do not attempt to clear the jam yourself as you may damage the printer. If the printer jams, shows an error or is out of paper or toner, please report this to the Library, Learning Centre, or Reception who will inform IT.
