Getting into construction

Step-up to apprenticeships

Aimed at 16–24-year-olds. During the session you will learn about apprenticeships including the different entry levels, entry requirements and how you will earn and learn. You will meet advisers from the progress team who can support you and provide guidance on apprenticeships. You will hear from ASK, who specialise in apprenticeships, and will update you on where to apply, how to assess your skills, the application process and interview approaches.

In this interactive and informative workshop for professionals and parents/ carers, you can learn about what employment support is available for young people aged 18–25 with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) in Islington via the Youth Employability and Skills (YES) and I-Set Teams. They’ll discuss specific services, eligibility criteria, case studies and there will be opportunities to ask questions.
